Tail blade linkages, trailing or leading
As I know, Pirouette constancy only has to do with Cyclic only, tail has no influence to it if upwash, downwash, leading or trailing linkage doesn't matter to Pirouette.
Leading or tailing on Tail changes the direction of Servo. With today 3D Baldes with 0° Delta on CG there should be no difference in regards of servo force and feeling.
Head CW and CCW rotation has influence on Tail RevoMix direction.

Not true. Piro optimisation(tuning) is meant to be tuned by watching the swash. Piro consistency is the tail I gain. Higher value = tail holding its position more aggressively. Too high value will cause slow wide tail wag.Adrian wrote:As I know, Pirouette constancy only has to do with Cyclic only, tail has no influence to it if upwash, downwash, leading or trailing linkage doesn't matter to Pirouette.

For the OP, it makes no difference to tail blade linkage type.
I didn't think it would.
I have my tail locked in with gov turned off, rust using a slight v curve but when I turn the gov in my esc on the tail kicks to the right when I pitch up. I tried raising the piro consistancy and got it up to 195 and it still did it. What should I be looking at to make it hold.
Esc is yep 120hv and 12deg pitch.
I have raised the head speed to no avail also.

Ups I mixed it up sorry....
It looks like your Gov is loosing rpm under load. Keeping rpm is critical, if possible tune ESC PID-Parameters.
I-Gain (Piro consistency) is more for moderate climbs descents as well as CW and CCW Piro consistency on FF.
For aggressive pitch maneuvers, you might need to look into RevoMix. I have got mine at 2.
Check direction by pushing full pitch on the bench, you see small tail move which helps to keep position.

Have you tried with Revo Mix?

It sounds like you've not setup your tail mechanics properly. Without the gov the head was loosing speed allowing the gyro to catch up and compensate. Try adding a bit more anti torque by twisting your ball link a couple of turns. Re adjust end points and give it a flight. Revo mix should not be needed if the tail is setup properly mechanically.Adrian wrote:Have you tried with Revo Mix?

Thanks I'll give that a go. I did read revo should be last resort so thought I'd see if there may be another solution first
