Collective Pitch Tuning

I have a Goblin 700 Gasser. I have the collective pitch set to +/- 12.5°, but I will need to tune the amount of collective pitch so that the engine does not bog down. If I set transmitter pitch curves where the endpoints are less than 100%, is this equivalent to changing the "Collective pitch" slider on the Limits tab to achieve the reduced amount of collective pitch? I know that changing pitch curves will not affect the "Rescue collective pitch".
