Hello,

I am finalizing the setup of my Spirit FBL unit using a Spektrum 8 channel Rx and a Spektrum DX9. I am trying to set up normal rescue mode. I currently am only using 6 channels. I would like to add a separate channel for the rescue mode. I assume that I just go into the channels menu using the Spirit FBL system and pick channel 7 for example and assign it to Stabi. My question is how to I set the mix in my DX9 tx?

Thanks

Hello,

yes, you are right - it should work in this way.
You do not have to use any mix. It is only required so that channel is moving between two positions - 0 and 100%.
Then all should work.

You might need a mix if you want to change the channel value with a switch, that is normally not used for this purpose. But it depends on what you prefer (which switch you want to use).

The reason I thought I would have to use a mix is that I would need to tie rescue into gyro b/c I believe that gyro is activated when I initiate the rescue button (which I will use Switch I on the tx). Do I not need to create a aux2-gyro mix in my tx? I know when using a 6 channel rx I have to create a mix of aux2 to gyro and then put that on whatever switch I want(probably b/c I am out of channels). So to recap, all I have to do is to go into the Spirit channel tab and add function Stabi and assign the value to channel 7 and I Should be done? Don't I have to create a mix like aux2>Gyro so that the TX knows that when I press the I button that it needs to be associated with the Gyr?

Sorry for the confusion!

Thanks

Yes, you are right.
Only Stabi function is needed to be assigned and that is all.
Gyro Gain is then used only as the the Rudder Gyro Gain. So Gyro Gain can be configured as usually with Channel 5 and Rescue activated by Channel 7.
