Hi

Trying to start the setup of a new uspirit. it keeps coming up with this message - Your connection is unstable. Please double check if unit is connected correctly.

It just keeps disconnecting?

Ok.

So I have it working as it should in Windows on a friends laptop without the disconnecting. I'm all Mac so it seems to be an issue with using it on my Mac. Any help or input I'd be thankful as I need it to work properly on my Mac.

Hello,

it is needed to install driver in the OSX in order to make it work correctly.
You have to install one that is linked in the Spirit manual.

http://spirit-system.com/dl/driver/SiLa ... erDisk.dmg

Then it should work well (after reboot).

I have already installed that and re booted. I am getting the messages and the constant disconnecting after the driver installation?

Could you try a different USB port?
For example if you are using an USB hub, it is better to connect it directly to the computer.

Oh, that is sad.

Are you still using very same USB interface that you have used with Windows computer?

I am not sure why it is happening, but you can at least try another driver for USB interface:
You can download it here:
https://www.silabs.com/documents/public ... Driver.zip

When you start the Spirit Settings, are you then able to see a Device in the Connection tab? This is very important, if there is no Device, then it can't work and it mean that installed driver in Mac does not work.

In completely worst case there are options:
a) To get Wifi-Link which will replace USB interface and all the settings can be done wirelessly. In this case no driver is required so it should be basically Plug & Play.
b) To try the Spirit Settings in something like Parallels, VirtualBox while running virtualized OS such as Windows or Linux.

Ok, I will try the other driver. I will also try on another Mac I can get hold of at the weekend.

I'm sure one way or another I can get sorted. Its just for the initial setup - after that I will use the integration on my Jeti for and minor adjustments.

Thanks

Just to update.

Nothing worked on my Mackbook pro. But I got hold of my Macbook air today and its all working well. The Macbook air is running a newer OS - High Sierra 10.13.5, where as the pro is only on El Capitan 10.11.6 as thats as far as it can be updated to.

Not sure if its an OS thing but the information may be of help to someone.
