Hi,
I'm using a Hobbywing ESC with fan.
I've connected only orange cable of Telem Uni Cable with programming port of ESC, because + - I'm using for fan with one servo plug.
In my picture the yellow cable is extension to the orange cable of Telem Uni Cable.
Telemetry is working.
Is it OK to connect it in this way or can it cause any problem?
BR, Christoph
Hobbywing Telemetry with Telem Uni cable and fan
Hi,
if the yellow cable is short then it is OK (less than 15cm)
If it is longer then some interference could occur. Telemetry data could be still present but for example Capacity can be calculated incorrectly.

Hi,
15cm is not possible because it is a Diabolo 700, which has the ESC mounted on very front sector.
Does it make a difference if I use a Y cable and connect also + - of Telem Uni Cable? or should extension cable never be more than 15cm?
Telemtry is working. Capacity which I charge after a flight is approximately 10% more than what telemetry shows at end of the flight.
Thanks for your help & BR, Christoph

Hi,
if you will use Y-cable and use - and signal wires then it will be all fine.
+ is not used with Telem UNI so it might be disconnected.
Cable length could be up to 40 without a problem in this case.
