difference stabi normal and stabi scale

Hello,
I was wondering what was the difference in flight characteristics between Stabilization-Normal mode and Stabilization-Scale mode was?

Stabilization Normal = Skids down, Gyro Heading Lock Mode
Stabilization Scale = Skids down, Gyro Rate Mode
