Hi,
I bought a new ESC Hobbywing Plarinum V4. My govenor Settings are as on the picture. If I go on the test page of the RPM sensor, I see that when the ESC is spooling up, the signal flashes. But the unit is not showing/calculating the RPM and spools up full throttle.
How can I solve that?
Mike
[SOLVED] ESC govenor not working
Hello,
first it is needed to turn off governor in the Spirit unit if you want to use ESC governor.
Then you have to set correct values for Sensing Divider.
ESC can send RPM data by RPM cable or by telemetry cable. So it depends what you will choose.
If you will choose telemetry data transmission then there will be always zero RPM in Governor but this is correct.
If you will use RPM cable then you can use also Spirit governor optionally.
There is no difference in 3.4.0 when compared to older firmware.

My apologies, the Subject is confusing. I want to use the governor in the Spirtit Unit, because I think it's better tunable.
The ESC is switched to "Fixed-wing" as this seems to set the ESC to standard mode https://www.hobbywing.com/products/enpd ... m60AV4.pdf
I receive the ESC RPM with the yellow cable on PIT on the spirit unit http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... RPM_output
My main Gear is 131 teeth, pinion 12 = Gear Ratio 10.9
The motor I am using is this one with 8 poles https://www.banggood.com/ALZRC-BL2525-P ... &rmmds=buy So sensing devider should be 4?
If I put 4 in the sensing devider the RPM goes very high, I stop it before it goes to high. I tested other numbers and with a sensing devider of 2 the rpm of the head is correct (At least sounds correct, as I can't tell otherwise) but the readout in the Spirit Software is incorrect.
Hope that helps a bit better with my problem. What am I doing wrong?
PS: I ordered the ESC telemetry cable yesterday, hope that will arrive soon. Looking forward to get the battery voltage readout!!
