I have a problem with one of my old spirit FBL. It is the red one with grey shaded top and connectors also on top. Is this the old original one?
However I tried to update it and it works. Software 3.5.0
During installation I found out that no of my receivers give a reaction in the software during installation. Not my normally used FRSKY Radios not my old Graupner. FRSKY was installed under SBUS and Graupner under SUMD. Absolutely no reaction.
All other functions seemed to be ok.
So help me please.

I found out that this old Spirit needs a special cable for SBUS. It ist written in the WIKI that this cable is required for telemetry but maybe for SBUS signal too.
I have connected my FRSKY receiver via PPM and it works. But limited to 8 channels because of this old standard.
I guess the special cable is an inverter module for the data input. I guess also that this spirit contains a STM32 Series 4, they have also problems with uninverted/inverted signals.

you need SBUS Adapter.
First Spirit unit was designed around 15 years ago.
All more recent Spirit units do not require this cable.
No, it has no Stm32f4. This is unrelated of processor.
