(solved) Spektrum and HWv4 rpm and rx voltage not reading

You can write here about anything you want in regard to R/C.

Yeah I asked that before but I don't think it's currently possible. I previously had the HW going into a Jlog and TM1000 which did then let you set a mah consumed alarm in the transmitter but it is a much cleaner setup with just the SPM4649T. I just have to intermittently look a the screen to see mah consumed. Maybe it'll come in a future update.

It should be possible to set Alarms in the Menu->Telemetry->ESC. Unfortunately there are not all variables available. But it should be pretty easy to add more of them. It is needed to ask Spektrum for this to add. Alternatively we will need to change the firmware so it will display capacity in other field where Alarm configuration is available.

Thanks Tomas, it is not currently possible to configure an alarm for the field where the capacity consumed is currently.

Thank Tomas that would be excellent if we could do that.
There is a field called powerbox, I have watched a YouTube clip of someone setting it up with the ikon2. He was able to use the powerbox feild and have it on it on a switch. I tried it and selected the voice command for esc. This would tell me some of esc data, including esc temp, flight pack volts and one other but not all the data. Maybe it could be worked into that some how?

Keep up the good work, your support is fantastic.

Will it work if you plug the j-log into the 4648t?

Here you can download firmware that will show capacity in the right field.
This will also allow Alarm configuration - works well.

http://spirit-system.com/dl/fw//spirit-fw-2.4.4.4df (updated today)

To make it work you only need to setup the Telemetry so that:
1. ESC
2. Flight Pack Capacity
3. Text Gen

In the Flight Pack Capacity settings you can set Alarm easily to a consumed capacity you wish.
And you are ready to go.

This worked for a bit but in now having problems. I have been working through this with Tomas but we don't seem to be able to resolve it.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?
I have the rpm sorted now[emoji4].
The answer was in someone else's question, basically. I have been setting the gear ratio up in the tx, not the spirit.
I was under the assumption that you only did it in the unit of you were using the spirit gov.

Sooo, I set my tx to poles inhibited, ge a ratio 1.00:1. Then activated gov in spirit, set the divider to 5 (10p) and set my gear ratio. Then turned gov of to find my settings stayed there.
Spooled the heli up and bingo, it works a treat.

I am unclear about this firmware update from Sept 2017. It is now 4 months later, and the Spirit website still shows the older 2.4.3.4 firmware version. Should I update to this 2.4.4.4 firmware or should I just stay with the older 2.4.3.4 firmware?
