I have both sat Rx's up and running on my X3 now. The way I did it was splice the positive and negative leads from the sat plug which is already regulated properly and then use the signal lead into the RUD port. Seems to be working with no issues. Is there anything wrong with doing this?
Also, just out of curiosity, what was the reasoning for only putting 1 Sat port on the Spirit? It sure makes things more complicated for people using Sat Rx's and I think is driving some people away.
Mounting and Bluetooth question
Could you take a photo or describe it little bit more?
If I understand it, you are using regulated voltage from the unit and providing signal to RUD port.
Well, it will work but internal LDO was not designed for this.
It could cause some problems with initialization if there is too big load.
From our tests you can fly even with 1 satellite with 700-size heli for long time unless you want to do autorotations (but it is not recommended)
so for 450 I guess it is not necessary at all.
Well, you can see Microbeast unit does not have any satellite port and there was a big success. For Spirit there was not enough room to add a secondary port.

That is exactly what I did. I got them to bind and power up with no issues. I will test it out on my 450 first and let you know if any issues arrise.
That was my guess, this unit is tiny, didn't seem like there was room left for any additional ports.
Thank you as always!
