Problem with Rescue - caused by insufficient BEC

Just checked it - as you suggested there is a Low Voltage warning - thank you so much.

Quick update - just tried the standard test of "pitch pumping" the throttle stick (without blades on) and after about 15 - 20 seconds the Unit resets, accompanied by a Low Voltage warning in the log.

Added the capacitor and tried again - did about a minute of pitch pumping without a reset

Seems pretty convincing ...

Thanks for the info.
So its certain it was a problem with the power.
It could be actually a problem with one or more servos, but especially with Savox/Align micro servos, there is high risk of failure due to overheat.
With increasing load the motor in each servo is heating more and more which causing higher loads for the BEC.

For example even cheap TGY 306 servos are uncomparable with its performance. These servos are great for the flybarless helicopters - flight characteristics are much much better too. If you want exceptionally good performance I can recommend MKS DS95.
Unfortunately for 450 and smaller size helicopters, there are unbelievable differences between servos.

All in all, be very carefull.

By the way you can set higher frequency for the tail servo.
DS520 can handle 333Hz without any issue. With this frequency the tail should work much better.

Im planning on putting the unit on an outrage fusion 50 with ace rc colress cyclic servos with a kontronik jive 80hv esc do you think the built in bec will handle the bailout current draw?

Yes, it could be enough. Jive has very good BEC.

Thanks, im sure it will be in the manual but i assume correct bailout checks pre flight are quite simple, ie collective in the right direction after hitting bailout ? And do it every flight as i do now with the vbar

Exactly, Before flying I hit the rescue switch and make sure it goes in the correct direction.

I currently have it at 250Hz, but may bump it up.

I will rename the thread here and HF so that people do not think that it was a product issue
