I now can confirm, that the problem is at least since FW 1.3.2.

After modifying the head gyro gain the bank switching didn't work until restart. The Device Explorer did not return to the main window after selecting Bank Switching by TX.

Hello,

we have found the problem. The issue is in the communication so that approx. 40% of the frames ignored.
This can cause also other issues such as settings that are not really applied (can be verified by pressing the Refresh button immediately after value change).

Can you please tell me, what receiver and what firmware version do you have installed there?
Do you have by chance older non-REX receiver?

We have already contacted JETI, because this shouldn't really happen.

Hi Thomas,

Thanks a lot for your Investigation!! The problem with lost frames seems go be a common problem. In other forums they diskuss also problems based on this issue.

I am using Rsat2 and Rex6 with the latest firmware available from the HP.

You are welcome.

Could you by a chance try to connect directly the RSat2 with Spirit unit? (over EX Bus). This can help a lot.

You can connect rsat2 directly to the unit (without REX receiver). It will be interesting if it will work fine.

Ok, i checked out my small bird. Just RSAT2 and the small Spirit. Both devices with latest firmware. I got i bit different behavior. I did the following steps:

bank 0 on the transmitter
went into device "spirit"
changed pitch limit from 135 to 85 (135 was on all banks)
saved changes
left device
changed banks via tx, nothing happens on pitch

went back to device spirit
did "change banks via tx"
left device
bank switch via tx works!!
but: if i try to go again into device spirit, the error "device not availabe" appears!

Powercycle on heli, everthing works again, including bank switching.

Hope, it helps a bit. The other heli uses the Pro and an REX6

Lars: This is correct behavior - to enter the Spirit device again, you have to press the Refresh button.
In this way it also should work with other receivers.

Thank you!

Please download and flash this firmware:
http://spirit-system.com/dl/fw/spirit-fw-2.0.2-ex.4df

Finally the problem should be solved with REX receivers, we have found the problem.
Also the communication should be little bit faster now.
Response was different in a specific situations, now all should be good.

I recommend this firmware for all REX users, but it affects just the integration.
