Hello,
here you can downoad new software and firmware:
http://www.spirit-system.com/dl/setting ... -win32.exe
http://spirit-system.com/dl/fw//spirit-fw-3.0.1.4df
Immediately after startup of the Spirit Settings sensor testing is performed. If there is a problem, user is informed about this problem.
This new firmware is helping also with accelerometer calibration. All units that are approximately 5 years old or newer shouldn't need accelerometer calibration. Previously small fraction of units required calibration. Very likely this version will be released officially within few days.

Unfortunately version 3.0 is temporarily unavailable. We have to make more testing to be absolutely sure everything will work well on all helicopters.
For this reason version 2.8 is available for download again.
Thank you for understading.

Hi Tomas, got a small issue with return to home. If I move the Heli a few yards and try to set a new home position on the Tx the unit won't save the new position. A test makes the swash move. I have to use the computer map to artificially move 'Home' quite a distance away from the last position. The Tx method then works as it should. Will add that I am having no issues with 3.0 apart from that!
Hi,
I have just purchased a brand new T-Rex 300x with Spirit 2 and GeoLink. The T-Rex is completely standard and I have mounted the Spirit 2 upside down under the rotor main shaft, parallel with the main blades and the tail boom. My Radio is a Spektrum DX9 Black and the rx plugged into the Spirit 2 (in SAT1) is a Spektrum SPM9745 DSMX. I have not installed the GeoLink yet as I want to get the Spirit 2 running properly first. I have attached pictures of the install.
I loaded the Spirit Settings app on my Macbook Air with Ver 3.0.0 which I installed on 15 Apr. I ran the setup wizard and bound the rx, leveled the swash with reference to the main shaft (not with the floor since the heli has inclined skids), and zeroed-pitched the tail rotor. The stab mode is in Stab Scale and I'm using the gyro switch (D) on the DX9 Tx with +100%,0%,-100%. Presently, everything appears to be working nearly ok just with a low hover in my indoor lounge. I'm not very experienced with stabilized helis yet (also have a fully working T-Rex 150x) so just want to take things slowly and carefully.
Even though I leveled the swash (with reference to the main shaft), there is a tenancy for the heli to want to slightly drift in the hover. I also have tail wag at the rate of about 4 or 5 shakes per second with the gyro switch in -100%, but it diminishes in 0% gyro (switch middle position). I haven't tried it with switch in 100% gyro position yet as I though this would turn off all stab and not keen to try this indoors yet.
I am seeking help with 4 questions for the group:
1. Should I continue using ver 3.0.0 or go back to 2.8.0?
2. How should I reduce the tag wag?
3. When connect the battery and allow the heli to settle before flight, should I do this with its normal skids on the floor position or should i incline the heli by 5 degrees so the blades are level with the horizon?
4. Am I missing anything else?
Thanks for the help.
Tony

Hello, Tomas, the Spirit works perfectly with the FW 3.0.0. What I notice, however, is the height limit of the geolink changes extremely during the flight. After some extreme maneuvers such as Tic Tocs and on the head, the height limit reacts at a great height. Must then turn off or land and reboot. Then everything is normal again.

you only need to flash to 2.80 if you have a problem with the sensors. If they work properly, everything is fine.Rocala wrote:Hi Tomas,
If I understood correctly we have to go back to the version 2.8.0
And for the Geolink ? 1.1.0 or back to 1.0.3 ?
And for the Wifi Link ? back to 2.8.0 ?
Thanks
