Hi fella,
Sorry to muscle in on your post, I don't think the length of your servo horns is the problem. If you have just changed the rotor head to the 'DFC' version, you will have to use the correct (DFC) main shaft. If not, the reduced head height will give the impression of horns / swash links too long .

The head came with a shaft, but it was loose and I didn't trust it.
So, I bought a genuine Align DFC shaft, this is what is in use.

Of course, the pushrods for ailerone and pitch were not right for the shorter shaft, so I made up what was required.

Do you have any suggestion what the length should be?

Hi,

as i do have no knowledge on your heli and his geometry... generally speaking: the length is derived from the 0° setting... if all your servos are 90° (or exactly middle in your case) the swash must be level. and +/- middle of the possible way up/down on the shaft (if not indicated different in the manual for some reason). at this point the pushrods from swash to head grips must be set at a length giving 0°... that's it more or less.

Good point, I will check that indeed when in middle stick, blades at 0 degrees,the swashplate is levelled at about half way the shaft.

One other detail I have. The shaft that arrived with this head, is shorter by 10mm than the genuine Align shaft I am using. I am starting to suspect that this could be the reason for my problem. That Align shaft is an FBL shaft, but who said it is intended for DFC?
