GeoLink position from magnet
Hi, I have a Protos 380 Evo with a magnetic canopy. I read the manual the mounting is to be done at least 30cm from magnets, which makes it difficult as that means it's about 1cm from the tail rotor. Will magnets render the unit useless if I mount it closer to it/body of the frame? I can mount it at the back but like the manual says it'll change my COG and it looks horrendously ugly...
GeoLink will work also when magnets are closer. It might work fine even in 10cm proximity. It depends just on how intense magnetic field of the magnets is.
You can verify easily by moving GeoLink closer if Compass angle is changing in some way (while maintaining physical angle same).
No one can't answer this question, because without exactly same setup it can't be verified. So the best is to verify it.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I will go try and see how close I can get it. Thank you very much for the response!ZeXx86 wrote:GeoLink will work also when magnets are closer. It might work fine even in 10cm proximity. It depends just on how intense magnetic field of the magnets is.
