I have a Align T-REX 450L with the stock 1900kv motor and 11 to 1 gearing. I am using a Max. Head Speed of 4000 RPM, runing a 70% throttle curve for a lower headspeed of 2800 RPM and sport flying. On the first three flights I tried the governor fine-tuning parameters of 3/1, 4/1 and 6/1 and did not see any difference. On average I got about +/-70 RPM and peaks of +/-200 RPM. Are there better fine-tuning settings to start with on this size heli?
I was hoping to get closer to +/-25 RPM I was getting with the Hobbywing ESC, but I realize that an ESC is closer to the motor and probably has an advantage because of a shorter feedback loop.
