Hello,

At the weekend I build my first spirit fbl into an Walkera V450D01 and get the servos working like exspected. It´s the first time that I try to use a non Ready to fly fbl system on my RC helicopter.

The ESC in the V450D01 doesn´t have an governor function integrated so I would like to use the governor from the spirit fbl. Therefore I need an RPM Sensor but before ordering an sensor I have a few questions.

1 - Is the following sensor reliable?
http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__66519__Orange_RPM_Sensor_EU_Warehouse_.html
2 - What does the spirit do if the sensor fails?
3 - the spool up time couldn´t be adjusted does it spool up very smooth?

Thanks

Hello,

we have tested this sensor and it is working fine, but we can't tell how it is reliable.
You will only need to modify connector for powering and signal output from the sensor.

You can adjust spoolup rate, so it should spinup smoothly.

Can I ask what sensor is recommended to use with the Spirit? I want to use one on my Synergy E7SE build.

The best is to use sensor embedded directly in the ESC such as one from YGE or Hobbywing ESCs.

What if I'm using a Kontronik POWERJIVE 120+ HV?
