My second weekend at attempting to get a test flight of my new TRex 700 Nitro.
Firmware was updated OK a couple of days ago.
Normal mode is now OK with engine RPM's following the throttle curve and no longer issues with RPM's increasing on their own.
Switching to Id1 and the engine picks up OK and gets to a head speed that is not actually the requested one that is in the software. In fact much much too high.
Requested head speed for Id1 should be 1860rpm but the motor actually goes past this and ends up being somewhere bewteen 1980 and just over 2100.This varies quite a lot.
I have a Jeti DS16 and RPM's are shown on the TX and also being called out every 10 seconds at the moment.
Settings are in Spirit:
Maximum Headspeed - 2200 RPM
Slow spool Up rate
Governor response - 5
Holding Performance - 1
I did try 3 and 3 with these but it made no difference.
Any ideas?
2nd Attempt at test flight - still governor issues
Gear setting at 8.0 for a TRex 700 Nitro.

What is your sensing divider and how many magnets you are using?

Should RPM's be available to be displayed at all times when the engine is running?
Nothing available to view when the motor is idling or when engine is running on throttle curve with the governor off.
Displayed/readout but too high with Gov on.
Maybe nothing that will help but trying to supply as much info as possible to sort this out.

Did you check what you see in the Spirit Governor screen for RPM? I mean, regardless of what you see in the Jeti?
In case of electric, the Requested RPM value is always there as soon you have a value, and the Current RPM too... both for normal curves and for fixed ones (at least up to 1.2.1).
And... anything to do with the fact that in 1.3.0 Governor does not really engage until throttle is 40%?

I'm unable to see what the current RPM is in the actual Spirit software as I have no way of checking with the helicopter running.
I would have thought that RPMs should be seen straight away really but they are not.
Seen only on my transmitter over 1000rpm by the looks of it.
Yes I have noticed that the throttle servo doesn't go over to full throttle as early now it's on at 40% - much better I would think.

It seems that there is a problem with reading RPM precisely. It should be displayed in precision of units, not hundreds.
Is there any possibility to move the sensor so it can sense the RPM better?
RPM should be displayed when the governor is active.
