Few setup questions
Yah, with a swash leveler. Its dead level at low mid and high stick. Is it safe to use the rescue w my rescue pitch set at 50% (7 defrees) pitch? Im worried its going to try to use the full throw if im inverted. My cyclic ring is set and I only get just shy of 10 degrees cyclic pitch w the cyclic ring ticked.
I was able to get it straightened out... well kind of. No matter what combination of servo subtrim in the software (with all the channels set to -100 to 100) i couldn't get the rescue collective pitch to be less than 14. So I ended up kind of doing it backwards. I left the rescue pitch on w a pitch gauge on and lowered it til it was at 12.5. Then I went into the diagnosis page and raised my pitch travel til it got the blades at 12.5. i ended up w my pitch channel at 118 & -118, 0 at mid stick etc. I spent 5+ hours today trying everything imaginable to get it working correctly but this was the only way I could get it working properly. So either sometging is wrong in my tx (dx8) or something is wrong in the firmware. Could a 're flash of the software cure this issue or should I look at sending it in under warrenty?
What is the"issue" exactly? None uses Rescue 100% anyway. Just setup your normal flight parameters (YOU fly the heli) and let Rescue work at 60% or 70%...
Oxy 2 ♦ X-Vert ♦ Warp 360 ♦ Blade 450X ♦ Blade 450X Nightflyer ♦ Goblin 500 (RIP) ♦ 2 X mCPX v2 ♦ night fly mQX ♦ LadyMQX ♦ nano QX ♦ nano QX FPV ♦ Inductrix ♦ DX8 G1
Because it means something is wrong. I can setup my collective pitch to 12.5 in both directions w 100 & 100 in pch tab but when selected the rescue pitch at 100 it goes to 14.3 or so degrees. So something isnt right. The only way I could fix this was to no my pitch channel to 118 & 118 then lower my collective slider down to 135 or so. Now I have 12.5 & 12.5 pitch and when rescue pitch is activated at 100 it reads 12.5 on gauge. Everything else checked out fine. Just these two things. Of course I wouldnt use 100 rescue but I wanted to make sure it was reading what it should and it wasn't. I spent many house trying everything I could to make it work correctly and it hasn't worked. I and not her person using spektrum have almost exactly the same issue with almost exactly the same outcome of more rescue pitch being at 14.3 when activated at 100%. This tells me theres an issue somewhere and I think its in the firmware somewhere. Ive done a full factory reset and redid everything starting fresh and no matter the changes or settings once the collective slider goes above 150 or so it cranks up the rescue pitch above what pitch I selected.
Can you verify what pitch you can read when you set -100% for the rescue?

I would be glad to. How do you want me to check it? The way I have it setup now with my pitch channel at 118 to -118 and my collective slider down to 134? Or reset my setup w 100 & -100 on pitch channel and collective slider raised to get 12.5 pitch?
Would setting up this way be ok? meaning having my pitch channel at 118 & -118 with the collective slider at 134? My 6 degree cyclic tuning is within the optimal range as well (at 170 I believe) so out of the full setup its only the pitch channel thats reading out of 100 & -100. If this is ok and wont create any problems i would be very happy. But if theres a way to correct this error that I havent thought of I would be all ears and willing to try it.
On a side note I still feel that a collective subtrim slider would be very handy when having to make adjustments in servo travel. As of right now I have to count and figure out which way the slider will have to move to get it even. If not then I have to take the head off and relevel the swash again and if I have to make another adjustment I have to do it all over again. It would just make it alot easier and hope you will consider it for the next firmware update.
please!

I do recommend to set collective pitch range to +/- 100% in the Diagnostic tab. Using 118 is not good, because corrections that are dependent on your collective may be too strong.
So your previous settings was correct.
There will be many changes/improvement in the upcoming firmware

I went back and redid it... again. So now ive got 100 & -100 on pitch slider w 12.5 on one blade over boom and 12.5ish on the opposite blade over the nose. With subtrim ticked, blades are level and the rest of the parameters are within the manuals optimal ranges. So again, the only thing thats not correct is the max rescue pitch. I left it at 60 who who me about 8 or 9 degrees of rescue.
Good, I hope that the collective trim is part of it. I tried adding or subtracting the same about from each tab of the servo correction but always seemed to mess up the level swash. Looking forward to the new update. Can we get a close approximate date?

You should move with Subtrims only to move servo arms to 90° as close as possible. Then changing push rod length should make the swashplate level.
You can try to measure angle that is achieved when you set -100% for the collective pitch of the rescue. Is it same as if there is +100%?
