It is hard to tell, but I am trying to help you to find the problem.
There are many other gasser pilots that just fly with our governor from version 1.2 without one issue, so I believe that it can work also in your case.

Hi, can you ask them to PM me ? I would like to understand what and how they got it working.

Or please invite them on here so we can learn from them.

Alright, well I can set up a multimeter and look for static discharge, but that's the about all the skill I have in the area.

I had a chance t fly today. I did not do the multimeter test. Instead I installed the GV-1 governor. The performance with the GV-1 is great. Headspeed is steady no issues with engine not responding to the flight mode switch. No issues with the engine racing to full output. Plain and simple the GV-1 works.

It took quite a bit of time to redo all the wiring and physically fit the GV-1 so the canopy would fit, but based on the one fight I had today, it's all worth it.

ZeX... I still have one machine that is all wired up to use the Spirit gov, but it's turned off for now and can easily try anything on that, but for now, I'll run throttle curves on that machine. I know you'll post if there are any updates to try.

Thanks,
Scott

+1. Gave up chasing my tail and spoiling my flying time. Spirit gov on gasser not working for me at all. (Sadly)

Ordered a GY701. Using a different FBL (moderate gov performance) until it arrives. Will consider to put the Spirit back as part of the GY701 installation.

Staying subscribed and hoping that it will be resolved down the line.

I'm still away from home and the helicopter at the moment but am thinking that unless there are some major changes it may not be worth me wasting anymore time on this.
How can setting this up be so finicky? :?

I have 3 spare Multigov Pro's here that are superb.
Maybe I should just rearrange the wiring and fit one instead.

A great shame I know but I have a brand new helicopter that has been built for months that has not been even been flown yet.

I have another Spirit unit that was going to be set up the same on another Nitro I have to build but I'm not really sure now.

Will stay subscribed anyway and hope I have no other issues with the unit.

I installed a Futaba GY701 governor (Helix G700 with TRM 300TT) and it is near-perfect at default settings.

I surely hope that this issue gets the required attention and that the governor will work proper on gassers soon.

Ps. Gasser owners do not have just one........ they keep building new ones and these need FBLs ..... ;)

Thank you for the info.

We have testing pilots with gasser helicopters from the beginning of our governor development and I can say that it performs really well. Actualy it was replaced by GY701 in one helicopter. I believe that we will get some nice videos soon.
The trick is only in stable RPM reading. Any governor without correct RPM reading will simply not work and it does not matter how good it is.

But of course we are improving everything what we can and each feedback is important for us.

Zex,
In that regard, if you could program in a way that we can ascertain if we are getting a quality rpm sensor signal that will be really helpful.
