just maiden a Forza700 and after first flight the log had several ' rx signal lost" event ...
had 2 DSMX sat well positioned and a very strong BEC , not sure what to do about it ??

It looks like the satellite is loosing connection - so I guess that there is something wrong with the cables of the satellite or antennas.
Because it occured rather during spoolup it looks like faulty cable or poor connection.

Using 2 satellites is not safe i think.
Now i have a telemetry module, which shows the antenna fades, and the numbers are surprising.
My receiver is an AR7700, with one spektrum satellite. No matter how i position the satellite, what orientation, or what part of the heli, after a 7 min session it gets 1000-1500 fades, which means that number of packages was lost. On the AR7700 main antenna after the same flight the counter is at 10-20. The worst was 45. So Spektrum satellites has a lower sensitivity for signals i think.
I have 3 more satellites, tried with those, with different cable, the issue is the satellite itself. When i was using 2 sats only, i get the sinal lost messages too. Since the AR7700 (or a fullsize receiver) i get none of those messages in spirit log.
Total frame losses 0 on all flights (when both antenna are faded at he same time)

In any case lost signal events shouldn't be visible at all if everything is OK. Also these events happened on the ground which is abnormal.

1000-1500 is way too many fades. I haven't had time to test the AR7700 much yet, but I have flown for years with AR7610, AR8000, AR9010 and AR9020. I can't remember having seen more than ~250 fades ever on the satellites (when placed in a good position) or the main antenna. Usually a place between 15 and 150, depending on what heli and how far away i fly.
Do you have some Deoxit to treat the connector pins? I had a couple of troubled sat cables a couple of years ago, but after I used a tiny dash of Deoxit on the connector pins, i haven't had troubles with sat cables ever since. Worth a try.

It does look like a very bad log from all viewpoints... is it really from a flight? Hard to believe )))))))fernieheliman wrote:just maiden a Forza700 and after first flight the log had several ' rx signal lost" event ...

I've tested it without the heli, on a testbench. Direct line of sight, range test.
All 4 satellites with all the 4 cable i have tested. The reciver was the AR7700. Satellites started to fade much faster, than the AR7700 built in receiver. I still had reception with the AR7700 when the satellites alredy lost the signal.
I think the sats are not the same receivers what is built in in the full receivers.

well maybe it includes the setup ... but I only did 1 real flight .
can you clear the log ? or does it do it by itself ?

here is the log after the last flight , all clean so the errors must of been from setup on the bench ...
