Hello,

Just thought I would move this discussion over here instead of HF. I'm looking to use the windows software with the bluetooth module because I have a windows 10 tablet.

I know that bluetooth is working and hooked up right because it works fine with an android tablet, but when going back to windows the software probes the com port then hangs.

I'm not sure if it matters, but I'm using a JY-MCU bluetooth module instead of the spirit one, and it's set to 57600 Baud.

Another note, I did get it to work one time, but couldn't get it to work again. I suspect it's some sort of timeout issue with the windows software.

Thanks,
schu

Any update on this?

I was able to make the Mac software work with the bluetooth serial port if I created a symlink from my bluetooth serial tty to /dev/tty.SLAB_USBtoUART.

This further confirms that the hardware works and that this is a software issue. Please! Please can I have the windows software work over bluetooth?

Thanks!

Hello,

it is possible with Windows, but not officially supported. Some users are using it in this way.

You have to set COM port of your BT module, then it can work.
In near future it will be supported officially.
