Mounting Spirit Pro on Oxy3

Hello,

I want to mount the Spirit Pro on the Oxy3. The best position would be under the boom mount, with the connectors facing down. Is this possible?
Due to the fact, that the Spirit Pro is wider than the frame (33mm vs. 29mm) I want to put a 3mm plate of forex under the Spirit. Where should the damping pad be placed better? Between Spirit and the forex plate or between the plate and the boom mount?

Another Question: I use a Jeti DS16 with Rex6 in this model. Which FW should be on both receiver and Spirit pro? REX 1.01e / SPirit Pro 1.2.0?

Hello,

yes, it is possible to mount the unit upside down.
I recommend to mount the unit on the double sided tape and additional plate to the model.
The plate shouldn't move at all, so your double sided tape should be hard.

You can use always the latest firmware and files. In case of Spirit it is 1.3.2, same for Spirit.bin (file for Jeti that is in the Devices directory) and for REX you can download the latest firmware on their web page - 1.01e is problably the latest.

Thank yo for your answer. Where can I downlaod this firmware? When I click on the "Download for Spirit" link, it saves a file which is named spirit-fw-1.3.2.man!

The firmware file with MAN extension is wrongly named, because web browser changed the extension for unknown reason.

You can redownload it with a different web browser or just rename the file name to be "spirit-fw-1.3.2.4df".
Most probably your unit is already updated, if no, then it can't be older than 1.3.0.
You will see it in the Connection tab in the software.

How sensible is the Spirit Pro to vibrations? I had some trouble with a microbeast plus on this helicopter, so I want to try another FBL.

You will probably not find any unit that is less sensible for vibrations. But with electrical helicopters vibration level should be always that small, that any system should fly fine.
If not, then such vibrations are probably so high that it is not safe to fly.

Fortunately Spirit unit support Vibration Analysis, so that you will find what part is problematic and fix it. You will see if it is still in the correct range.

I'm planing to change the FBL next weekend. I Don't want to modify the frame and only put a forex (lightweight but hard sheet of plastic foam) under the Spirit Pro.
