Well, personally I am not sure this will work like that, I assume it depends on the failsafe you have defined in the receiver: the receiver failsafe will be activated if you turn off the radio... not the Spirit one, isn't it?Adrian wrote:@Yogi, have you looked at Fail safe on Channel setting? The Spirit failsafe is for the case, as an example, that the wire between the receiver and the Spirit fails, as far as I understood...

Futaba transmitters can set failsafe values directly in the menu called Failsafe.

For a PPM, Spektrum DSM2/X, Jeti EX Bus, SRXL/SUMD receiver types you can set the Failsafe directly in the unit. Channel values are stored immediately after clicking the Set failsafe button. In case that the signal is lost for more than 1 second it will set the values automatically in the flight. With other receiver types the Failsafe is programmed in the transmitter or receiver.
I did test with Spektrum running with 2 Satellites, if I unplug 1 Sat, system keeps working, if I unplug both, it jumps after 1 second to stored Failsafe Setting. Plug Sat back, jumps to Sender Signal. If I turn OFF Sender, it jumps after 1 second to stored Failsafe, Power up TX, back to Sender Signal.
It works as expected. Version 2.0 is really a huge step forward. I'm looking forward to demonstrate it to my colleges, It's like Blade stop just an other bet, by switching TX off during a looping, to demonstrate Spirit capabilities

In the last two days I have tested the autorotation bailout - it works perfectly. But one thing I have observed - on the first spoolup the RPM overshoots by 100 to 200. It's not a critical issue, but can it be fixed ?

Indicated by the marker, the throttle is reduced upon reaching the requested head speed of 2000 RPM. But then the headspeed goes up to 2200.
Is this caused by the ESC or is it possible to flatten the spoolup from the spirit in the last 10 %. In the shown case the throttle is increased up to the configured maximum of 1950us.
