Season's greetings to all !!

Hi, I'm using a Spektrum DX9 and want to use the AUX 2 channel for a switch. Is it possible to do this without a receiver ?

Software only allows the assignment of 7 channels ?

Hi,

you are right. Spirit units can use 7 channels - there is no need for more.
It is possible that with some update it will be supported with Spirit Pro.

But you can always use recommended way by Spektrum - classic receiver.
For example latest receivers (AR7700) are supporting serial output and AUX2 output at the same time.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Yes, there is a need for more than 7, else I would be asking ........... ;) As it stands, the Spirit uses all of the channels for it's own requirements and leaves nothing for external use.

Can I change the bank channel to drive this external switch ? (At least until such a time as the software catches up with the hardware abilities ? :D )

I already have the FBL and the telemetry unit mounted and now have to find place for a receiver too ? For one switch (remote glow driver for the nitro on one and external governor on another).

If the Pro has the plugs and ports for all the different connections, surely it should be easy to adjust the software for channels 8 & 9 ? Or, make CH 0 available for Spektrum please.

I too would like to see the possibility to use all the ports on the Pro as I want. I'd like to use channel 8 and 9 from the AR7700 (via SRXL) to control tail gain and banks on the Pro, so I can use channel 5 and 7 on the AR7700 to control other things. I hope this will be added on a later firmware. :)

Hi, when can we expect FW 1.4 please ?

I see that you responded to Coco66 in September that we might see the use of free channels with this release.

I am sure that in the future there will be this feature available. Hopefully in 1-2 updates. Unfortunately I can't tell you exact date.

So if I get a AR7700, for my Spirit Pro, I will be able to use the Aux 2 output on the AR7700 for an external channel?
Would this take away my adjustable banks?

Thanks
Larry
