I have looked all over this forum for an answer and cant find one So if there is please link me thanks.

I come from JR and Futaba Moved to Jeti last summer and Spirit a month ago and is a completely different game so I am in a bind and need a few answers. Hope someone can help.

I am using a Jeti DS-16 4.0 and a Spirit Pro I have upgraded the Pro to 2.0. I setup a Gaui GX4 (gasoline Engine).

The Spirit works great, the Gov not so great ( YET) This is what I have going on.

Lift off in normal mode NO GOV. (I have my normal mode setup as a 9 point throttle curve not going over 39 % so Gov doesn't engage ( for takeoff and landing low head speed flying around.)

Switch from Normal Mode to Flight-mode 1 ( requested RPM 1800 ) and the engine revs for a split second and then drops to an Idle and the heli of course drops to the ground.
It does the same in Flight-mode 2 ( requested RPM 2100 )

When I am on the ground ( ENGINE RUNNING ) in flight-mode 1 or 2 the throttle servo pulses /revs slightly like its hunting just off idle. I have noticed that when I add full negative pitch the engine revs slightly ( OFF IDLE ) to try to maintain RPM under load.

Looking at the settings. (BK servos)

GOV /THROTTLE
Frequency 333
throttle range Min 1290us Max 1850us
throttle reverse Box( CHECK).
Governor Box (CHECK)
Governor divider (1), I am using two magnets one south and one north pole, so 1 should be right.
Gear ratio 7.10
Max head-speed 2500

Fine tuning
spool-up rate Very fast
Spool-up Ramp-up 50us
Governor response 7
Holding performance 5

When the Heli is sitting on the work bench and I switch into flight-mode 1 or 2 the throttle servo slowly moves from Idle to full throttle so the servo is moving in the right direction when switching into flight modes.
Also my vibration level at its max is 15%.

OK any ideas what am I missing.
Thanks
RJ

Do you have a correct reading of Requested RPM in the Spirit software Governor screen when going to IU1 and IU2?

What about current RPM readings when you are on the ground? Do they make sense?

Not familiar with magnet sensors, but you should put there (as divider) the "number of active magnets".

About you settings... I wpuld start with Response 5 and Performance 1 and work your way up from there as specified in the manual.

(many compliments for your post, that's the way to explain a problem clearly)

Please try to reverse one magnet, so both will be active.
RPM readout will be then more precise and it should work fine then.

Sensing Divider should be configured to 2 in this case.

Thank you, I will config 2 mag divider and flip one mag and make it active also.
I will let you know what I find in a week or so. The weather just got cold and rainy for the next few weeks.

Thanks for the input, I have double checked everything so I will try flipping a mag and changing divider to 2.

I'm glad that my question was understood I have been told that I am over detailed when it comes to explaining things so I tried not going overboard this time. But the more info you can add to the problem the better off you are at getting the problem solved.

Thanks again

Finally got a nice day to try out the changes to the governor. Setup two active magnets and set divider to 2 and it worked great.
Thanks for the help.
