Im trying to help a buddy setup his heli with spirit but for some reason it stopped working after he flashed version 1.02. I need the firmware since I dont have it on my computer so that I can attempt a recovery. The light on the system on even turn on when power is applied now. Ideas of what could cause this and how to go about getting the correct firmware to get it recovered?

Not completely sure of what you are asking for... old software? Old firmware? Also not sure if the LED gets on or not, you mispelled something.

Anyway... I think that the recovery procedure is a "brute force" update, so I would just install SW 2.0.0 on the PC and use Recovery procedure to install FW 2.0.0 on the Spirit.

First from all, you have to check if the LED blinks for a short time during powerup.
If not, then the last successfully flashed firmware was 1.2, which unfortunately does not support new recovery process.

But it is possible to re-flash it with the old one.

I will send you guide that will solve the problem.

He sent me a procedure to where it evolved taking the case apart to do some trick w the board but I am not comfortable with trying that since it was mentioned that it could void the warrenty if its done incorrectly. Thomas said that if I wasn't comfortable w trying this that I could send it in and it would be done free of charge by their team at espirit. I would contact him first before pursuing either option.

I will send you private message with the guide for recovery.
If there was firmware 1.2, then the procedure is not that easy. But after update to at least 1.3 the problem can't happen again as there are additional protections.
