I am a relative beginner and still doing basic hovering
I have fitted a Pro unit to my flybarred Trex 600n to use the stability and rescue modes to give me a bit more confidence

My set up is:-
Futaba s-bus with T10j Tx
Gyro gain in normal mode set to -70 (std mode) in Tx
No flight modes set
Bank switching on channel 7 is assigned to a momentary switch with bank 0 set to stab normal, banks 1+2 set to rescue acro

To set the tail gain I had gyro set to +70 (GY mode avcs) so no stab or rescue were active and the heli flew perfectly

In normal mode when stab is activated (shows HF in diag screen) I was expecting the heli to self level when the sticks were centred but it doesn't seem to
On the ground when rescue is activated the swash moves to +ve pitch but the swash does not appear to move to level the heli when it is leaned over, and when leaned over more than 90 degrees goes to -ve pich but again does not appear to level
I have only dared to try rescue from horizontal and it climbed as expected
All settings in the software are at factory settings other than the stab modes and flybarred box ticked
Are there any settings that I need to adjust
Thanks
Andy

Its because, depending on your rescue function, if your close to 90 degrees then itll think its upside down and so itll add neg to get it away from the ground, flip then add positive to continue the bailout. If tou tested it in the air and it worked then it sounds like its working as it should.

Hi,

corrections with flybared heli are not too visible (they are small) so it is reason why you can't probably see it too well on the ground.

If you see HF in the diagnostic tab, it mean that special function is activated - for example Rescue mode that you have selected in the Stabi/Function.
To make everything precise you should also set Servo/Subtrim (tuning) with the cyclic leveler.
Basically you should finish whole setup procedure as with FBL helicopter - the best is to use Wizard. Then don't forget to tick Flybared mechanics in the Stabi tab.
With default settings it will not fly very well.

Thanks for your replies
I spent hours setting up the heli so everything should be fine, BUT, the one thing I never checked and only found at the flying field was that the canopy wouldn't fit over the unit, (schoolboy error I know  ) so now I have to move it . I know I should only need to change orientation in the software but will recheck all settings while I am at it
It is fitted in front of the main-shaft at the moment, where my gyro was, and my choices are on the side at the front where the Align gov was or on the back behind the main-shaft

Hello,

great. Alternatively you can try to change plastics from the connectors to a different that will be not that high.
Yes, when you change mounting position you only have to change the Position parameter. All will by fine then.
