Gov holding performance

My headspeed doesn't hold with for instance tic tocs or a punchout. Holding performance is already at 6. Is there a way to raise it more?

In this case something is wrong - very often the problem occur, when your throttle limit is not configured to be really at 100% for the ESC.
So instead of 100% it is using e.g. just 90%.
Value of 6 is very high, normally it shouldn't exceed 5.
For pitch pumps you should increase Governor response, not holding performance (see description in the manual/software).

When doing very agressive pitch punchouts the rpm drops and then it will raise to keep it. Thats the gov response? Endpoints with the spirit are set by entering pulse so its 1100 and 1900. Im now at 7 - 6.

Gov response is like the P gain ( from what I get from the manual). Increase it to reduce rpm drop and increase in short term loads (pitch pump, flip, tic toc). Holding performance is like the I gain- it prevents drops during sustained load (punch out, loops etc)
Start by lowering your holding performance to 1. Increase your governor response to where you get litre variance when doing short pitch pumps. Then increase holding performance until you hear no drop when doing loops or longer climb outs.

So what would be collective add? I really hope there will be more settings soon. Cyclic add, ele add, I miss those

On my 700er Setup with Pyro750 and CC Edge HV 160A I did run Gov Response at 8 and Holding Performance at 4.
I did rewound a 700er Motor (800MX) with 1.4mm and YY scheme, get lower resistance down to 11.9mOhm, which due to greater rpm stiffness allowed me to reduce Gov Response to 7.

Im using a rewound pyro 700 which has more filling than the black edition. Will try higher response.

I tuned it the following way. Holding to 3. Increased response till i got over rpm on agressive short pitch. Reduced by one point.
Incresed Holding to get rpm constant on long term load like loop. If you can't get over rpm, eighter your pitch is to high, your max range no adjusted to ESC or your power path to weak. All these tests at your max rpm.
Once you got this right, tail will hold a lot better to.
Gov settings can be tested with different bank setting, so it's done with one bat pack.

Range is fine, its 1100 and 1900 in the mezon. Can't use banks until we get more channels! None left sorry

It has some but it's not configurable - I've spooled up with no blades and could hear the rpm go up when pitch was increased / decreased.velocity90 wrote:So what would be collective add? I really hope there will be more settings soon. Cyclic add, ele add, I miss those
