Is Spirit Throttle calibration necessary for Kontronik gov

I understand that it is recommended to calibrate the transmitter throttle channel subtrim and travels so that the Spirit Throttle bar in the Diagnostic tab reads 0-50-100% when one plans to use the Spirit governor. I will be using the Kontronik governor, not the Spirit governor. The Kontronik manual states to leave the transmitter throttle channel subtrim at 0% and travels at -100/+100%. Should I still calibrate the Spirit Throttle channel, or should I just leave the transmitter throttle channel at the default 0% subtrim and -100/+100% travels?

As I understand it's not necessary.
But I would recommend, as 0% represents min Range (110us) and 100% represents max range (1900us) these ranges are hard decks, think of nitro helis with Servos to prevent binding.
Means 0..100% is whats coming from TX and 1100us..1900us its what is going to ESC.
So said, if you need lower value than 1100us for like init ESC, this must be lowered in throttle range setting, going lower than 0% want help.
I would adjust all channels to match Diagnostics range, this way you got a consistent clean setup.

My concern is that the Kontronik manual specifically states to prepare the transmitter with 0% subtrim and -100/+100% travels. So this looks like a conflict to me. If I calibrate the transmitter throttle channel subtrim and travels so that the Spirit throttle bar reads 0-50-100%, the Kontronik would not be happy. If I leave the transmitter throttle channel at 0% subtrim and -100/+100% travels, the Kontronik would be happy, but the Spirit would not. I am not sure which way to go on this one. Who's happiness is more important?

I believe your -100 to +100 is just another way to say use the whole range of the channel, ie 0-100 on spirit.
I would favour calibrating the TX with the Spirit, since this will mean sending out 110 us to 1900us, while the TX could have slightly different ranges for different brands.
And Kontronik does not mention/manages that, so it wpuld probably be better.
If the Kontronik specifies the us range, then you can still adjust it in the Spirit Governor screen.

I have set 0 to 100 in the Spirit, works fine with kontronik.
