I was setting up my governor today and I was trying to trouble shoot noisy rpm sensor data from from the HW 50a v3 esc when I ran into a problem.

I had the battery disconnected but the usb to my computer and SYS on the Spirit connected. I manually moved the elevator servo to level it out and I noticed that the red light on the Spirit lit up momentarily. When I reconnected the battery to the esc, the Spirit started up and the rudder servo immediately started to go from left to right continuously. The Spirit software also would not connect.

I powered down and disconnected the rudder servo and when I reconnected the battery, the Spirit seemed to power up correctly, the software connected, and the cyclic servos seemed to work correctly.

Is there a fix from my end or has something burned up and I need to send it in for repair?

I did some more checking and the rudder servo is at fault. I plugged one of the cyclic servos into the rudder port and it worked. I then plugged the rudder servo into the cyclic port and it immediately started oscillating. As a final check, I plugged the cyclic servo back into its proper port and then plugged a small servo that I had lying around into the rudder port and it worked with no problems.

So it was a false alarm, triggered by the rudder servo acting up at the same time that I moved the elevator servo. I then mistakenly linked the two actions when they was only coincidental.
