Align RCE G-600 Govenor

Hi,

Still trying to get the Align govenor to work on my Trex700.
I have set channel 0 of the Spirit to respond to the gear switch, you can see the govenor led changing state, but when flying it will not lock in,
have also tried adjusting the ATV to change the head speed but the head speed just stays so low that the skids are wobbling.
So the govenor appears to be working ok but is just not recognizing the ATV value from my radio.

I did think the govenor was faulty but after swapping with one from another model still no difference, has anyone else set this govenor with the Spirit.
