Can't resist to put the first post on the Aero forum.
Great work Spirit team!

To add a question, I see there is a new Aero FBL unit on preorder.
What is the difference with the regular red Spirit? Only the new Aero label?

Can we load the Aero firmware on the "regular" Spirits as we now use for our helicopters?

Thank you very much!

It has different voltage stabilisation system and a difference in the port wiring.
Rest is identical with the normal Spirit units. The main difference is lower price since the tests that the Aero units must pass are not so demanding. Thus there is higher rate of a good units that can pass all the tests which mean lowered manufacturing cost.
So the Aero units are designed for the aircrafts.

Yes, you can load the Aero firmware to any Spirit unit you wish.

Yes, this is not possible normally.
But there is still possibility to upgrade the HW on demand so then the unit can be used to any purpose.
