Looping back from my experience with the Spirit unit and he failure I had. It was indeed the rpm sensor that caused my issue. I have removed it since last year and the unit lives happily ever after. No issues since. Having 3 spirit units on my 3 helis with no failures other than the one described above, in my opinion proves their reliability :D
