Hi all.

Sorry for newbie basic questions, but I want to confirm a few things in small steps.

I have recently purchased a Taranis X9D Plus and have had a Spirit FBL for some time. The plan is to use this with a Compass Warp.

I will order a FrSky X6R receiver and a sensor so mAh consumption will be known. I would also like the idea of OpenTX Integration and telemetry data so will need the FrSky integration cable http://store.spirit-system.com/en/acces ... cable.html

But what about channel data transmission protocol between Rx and FBL unit? The manual does not specifically show a connection type wiring diagram for a FrSky receiver but the OpenTX setup guide page states "PWM, PPM or SBus". I would just like a single cable from Rx to FBL to transmitter channel data, so this rules out PWM.

What should I be using - PPM or SBus?

I thought S-Bus was a proprietary system offered by Futaba but I see the X6R Rx has an SBUS port. That is confusing for a newbie.

And what is SRXL/SUMD protocol. Is that the one to use?

Next question will be which cable is needed between Rx and FBL unit.

Thanks.
