I just got my Spirit Pro and I'm new to electric heli's. After I purchased the Spirit FBL I bought and built an Align Trex 470LM. Everything appears as expected, I have only hovered a few times, stabilization seems flawless. and working nicely but I can't get the ESC to calibrate with SpiritPro. ESC will calibrate with no problem directly with a Spektrum AR8000 and a AR7700 but not with Spirit Pro with AR7700. There must be something about the Spirit that won't allow calibration. I can fly the heli the only problem is the throttle does not engage until 51% stick. For now throttle and pitch curves are linear (0,25,50,75,100). Throttle channel is not reversed. Diagnostic tab under channel input appears correct ( 0-100% low stick to high stick). All trims are zero.

Does anyone know what the issue might be?

Thanks,

Hello,

firstly, it is important that you have Governor disabled in the unit (if used).
Can you tell me what Throttle range do you have configured in the General - Throttle/Governor?
Min. and Max. values are important for this - to make it work. Default is 1100 - 1900us which should work with mostly any ESC except CC.

Thank you Mr. Site Admin, I never previously entered the throttle/governor setting area. I made the setting as you described and the ESC calibration initializes as expected and the throttle range now seems correct - rotor spool-up starts at about 12% stick.

Thanks for the advise.
