Hi
I have a new Trex 500x using all standard parts (RCE BL80x ESC , ds530/535 servos)
I have the throttle lead from the esc to my receiver which is connected via sbus to the spirit unit
I also have a second output from the esc to the aux port on the spirit unit
The bec test fails at 91%
Is there something else I could try
Andy
[SOLVED] BEC test failed
Hi,
you can add capacitor to the unit or receiver that will cover the voltage drops.
Unfortunately the servos are able to draw too much, but BEC is unable to deliver such current.
Capacitor such as 4700uF should fix it. Alternatively you can use external BEC with higher current ratings.
Capacitor should cost you no more than $1.
You can get also finished part like this:

Thanks for your reply Tomas
I should have stuck with plan A and bought the Kit minus esc and used a hobbywing 100a, instead of trusting align to supply equipment that was up to the job
I am sure people must be flying with this esc , maybe they don't test the bec
