HI i would also be interested in the beta up date. i have 2x 700 nitros that i could not get the spirit gov to work properly on and have changed to the multigov pro.
A firend at my flying feild has the same issues and is also changing to an external gov. so we would both be keen to test the update

The throttle curve is quite normal V, which is very interesting that it actually holds better. It look like the governor must acting in the opposite way :-B
To make it work at least on par or better as with V curve you will need at least to increase Governor Response, while no Holding Performance is needed.

showmeflyer: That is fortunately OK. If direction of the throttle is reversed in a proper direction then it is supposed to work.

I finally have the governor working on my nitro. Flew 9 tanks in a row with no bogging and very little over speeding. All 3 head speeds lock on instantly. This is as good or maybe better than the multigov I had been using. Hope to get my gasser to work this well .

I made several changes since I was planning on going back to the Multigov I changed the magnets back to having only one active instead of both active. Decided to give it one more chance so after trying several different combinations I ended up with response set to 9 and hold to 3. This made my three different requested head speeds close but still some over speeding but got rid of most of the bogging. Response at 8 and hold at 3 seemed to work a bit better at lower head speeds. The last change I made was to open my mid range needle about 3 clicks and the over speed was less. Opened another 4 clicks and it works great. I turned the gov off and carb settings seem to be close enough on regular throttle curves for me. I had around 20 gallons thru this engine with my mid needle set 7 clicks leaner than now so I don't think I was running to lean.

We also recommend to set engine at the rich side, otherwise there is tendency for overspeeding even with flat TC. This is pretty bad for governor.

I'm sure every case is a little different. In my case with the gov on and holding performance maxed out at 6, the heli bogged in loops where as it did not bog in loops when using v-curves without any needle setting changes. So the engine was obviously capable of powering through the loops set to how it was. There's a video of me flying at IRCHA with the governor enabled and it sounds like the engine wants to die the entire time.
