What I understand from the manual is we do not need to buy any sensors for telemetry to work, is it correct?
For example if I want to display telemetry on Jeti, I just need to connect REX7 with Spirit following the instruction but no need to buy any Jeti sensors?

yes, you are right.
The Spirit unit itself will show you a telemetry data.
But to get more variables, you can use the ESC Telemetry feature. If your ESC has support for this, then it can be used together and you will have basically everything logged and displayed with no additional sensor.
