I have connected a FrSky XM+ and a spirit-system SBUS cable to my red spirit unit.
The channel assignment appears to be as follows:
Taranis Channel -> Spirit channel
1 -> 2 (T)
2 -> 3 (A)
3 -> 1 (E) (REVERSED)
4 -> 4 (R)
5 -> 5 (Gyro)
6 -> 6 (pitch) (REVERSED)
7 -> 7 (bank)
Now here's the interesting part. Pulse widths for max/min in the "diagnostic" tab to get +-100% appears to be:
Spirit channels:
(T) 1945us -> 1100us
(A) 1080us -> 1930us
(E) 1930us -> 1080us (reversed)
(R) 1078us -> 1925us
(g) 1000us -> 2000us (gyro)
(p) 1935us -> 1086us (pitch) (reversed)
(b) 1076us -> 1924us (bank)
Is this correct? SBUS is a digital protocol, there should be no need for me to set different endpoints in my radio for the channels, the spirit should use 1000us -> 2000us for all channels.

Hello,
we recommend to download OpenTX profile for your radio.
Then you will have everything configured and ready to fly.
Spirit is using standard range from 1100 to 1900us, which is more common between brands.
When using Futaba SBUS protocol it is designed for Futaba, so when you connect Futaba it is all matching out of the box.
FrSky is using different reversing, travel and channel order so some changes are required. But with our profile it will be all exact.

It is matched for Futaba, so there it is +/- 100% out of the box.
Unfortunately we have no possibility to change OpenTX implementation, the protocol is same for all.
Please check this page for downloading the profiles:

Your eepe file is using 1520us as the centre point. When i set my radio to use 1520 as the centre, the diagnostics tab shows 3%.
I dont think this is correct. There there something wrong in your software?
sending 1100us /1520us centre shows -95%
sending 1100us /1500us centre shows -98%
sending 1075us /1500us centre shows -100%

Center is not important since it is automatically calibrated each initialization. So it must always show 0% at the center. If not, then something is not OK.
Here we have radios from nearly each brand, including Taranis. With our profile it worked correctly in our case with no modification - all channels at default layout in the unit.
