In case you do not know something or you are not sure, here is the right place for your question.

I updated my Blade 300X with a µSpirit to firmware 2.5.0

I had to set controlls for ELE and AIL on Tx to "rev" to get it right, but the "Stabi" direction was wrong.

So I changed the direction of all swash plate servos and the "Stabi" worked fine then.
But I had to bring ELE and AIL in the Tx back to "nor".

Now PIT was going in the wrong direction and I put it in "rev" in the Tx.

All controlls and the Stabi work fine and the Heli does fly again.

BUT: "Rescue" switches to NEGATIVE Pitch!

In any of the adjustment variations I tried so far one thing is allways in the wrong direction.
I stick with the non working "Rescue", since I can at least fly the heli.

And a Blade 300cfx with a Spirit FBL shows the same behavior after the update to 2.5.0.

Hello,

after update there should be no change needed, except if you were using Reversed collective pitch in the Spirit Settings.
You should not change channel reversing in your radio, because this will cause that channel direction will go wrong in Diagnostic tab.

So first please put elevator servo from Swashplate diagram to the CH2 port.
Then insert right servo at the CH1 port and left servo at the CH3 port.
Swashplate type should be CCPM 120 (reversed).
Collective pitch direction - Reversed.

Could you verify that this is correct?

Here is the setup from 2.4.3 which worked very well.

The files from 2.5.0 are from a flyable heli with a wrong "rescue" pitch downward.

I went back to 2.4.3 and everything works fine again with the files from June 28th.

I'll run the 2.5.0 update again and will send the .4ds files without any modification.

Here are the files as they are after the update 2.5.0 with the working adjustments under 2.4.3 (June 28th)

But ELE and AIL controll is in the wrong direction, also the stabi will flip the heli during take off.
PIT and "rescue" have the right direction.

When I uncheck the box for reversed Collective Direction then ELE, AIL and Stabi works correct. Only rescue goes to negative pitch and Pitch is incorrect. Is there something upside down in the firmware??

I recommend to return back all channel configuration as it was with 2.4.3 - this is very important because in Diagnostic tab nothing should change.
Then it will be probably only matter of swapping CH1 and CH3 and possibly reversing servos in the Servos tab.

I'm sorry, but swapping ch1 and ch3 doesn't help.

No matter how I set up the three boxes in "servo reverse" the stabi works wrong in one direction (nick or roll).

So far I have 2 options:
- Use 2.5.0 and switch off rescue
- Stick with 2.4.3

I'll check out my 450 heli to see what happens there.

So I did the update of my 450 DFX to 2.5.0 and it went well. No changes in the servo directions and rescue. :o
This heli has the controll arms on the front edge of the blades, so no collective reversing.

All blade 300 have the controll arm at the trailling edge side of the main blade, witch is not that common.

With "collective reverse" checked I have to reverse the pitch on the TX to move the blades from negative to positive pitch for take off. With firmware 2.4.3 pitch is on NOR and therefore the "rescue" works in the right direction.

With a 230S it’s the same control arm reversed and it’s not working, Heli moving in the wrong direction and save not working well, one of the servo is reversed and it’s not responding normally. I tried to get it to work well this morning and wasn’t able. I will try again but I can’t go to the previous version as I did not download it on my computer.

Hi Pking

Worked yesterday 3 hours to get the 2.5.0 running on my Blade 300x, but no way to have a working rescue funktion.

I attached the 2.4.3 firmware as a zip-file. Hope you can bring back your 230S in the air. :P

Thanks a lot Kluftinger for the file!

I will test and give feedback, it will not be until Monday.
