I am looking for a new device that has perfect compatibility with the Settings software. Anything but Apple. Most experience with Windows so maybe a Windows tablet.
I am looking for something that is tried and true with both the interface cable and software (not browser) through wifi.
I see there are other platforms that I am less familar with( Linus, Reaspberry, free bdsd, etc.). I am not excluding devices that run those OS's but hopefully there is a decent Windows device.
What does Spirit test with?
Others out there, what are you using? Have you used both the USB cable and the wifi?

doesn't anyone want to post what Windows device they use and what your experience has been?
i use the gpd pocket ... rather small screen but works perfectly
Basically it should work correctly with any device with any version of the Operating System.
But even super cheap 5 USD Raspberry Pi computer can run the Spirit Settings very well with all the features - but it is not the easiest thing for a beginner.
Normal tablets with Android would work fine with Android app but for full experience any Windows, Mac, Linux or FreeBSD system based computer is recommended.

I ended up buying one of these
ASUS 10.1" Transformer Mini T103HA-D4-GR
I wish it had 8GB but otherwise it seems pretty nice. Runs Spirit in all modes (Cable, wifi-browser, wifi software) with no hangs or conflicts. Of course, it is a fresh OS with not much else added except Spirit Settings. So that may be part of it.
