Well spotted Toni. This means that the behaviour that they are getting is actually the same as we are all getting. They just have not followed the same procedure as us, which is the procedure you would follow in normal use. So there is definitely a bug in the firmware to my mind.
Thank you very much for the important finding!
You are right that this could be big difference.
We have already sent the request for testing it - to make sure the script is launched after the unit is fully initialized.

Well spotted Toni. FrSky told me that the only difference between the Rx series receivers, like the RX8R Pro, and their other receivers is that they use a noise resistant chip to reject RF noise. But there must be a bug in their firmware that causes this behaviour with Spirit units.

Any updates on this Tomas? FrSky is insisting (they sent me a PM on RcGroups) that it works for them when they start the LUA script after the Spirit has fully initialised even though I haven't seen any video proof of that. The only videos I have seen is of them starting the LUA when the LED is still flashing.

I'm having the same problems light will go out and if I do the way you guys say to start Lua then it all works as it should I'm waiting for a fix as well
Sadly we have not received any reply from FrSky yet. We have sent request for a video that will show everything from the beginning when it is powered off.
Fortunately it look like we will be able to find a workaround for the problem just by changing few parameters of the communication.

FrSky replied today that they are very busy but will give us a proper reply soon.
In the meantime we have prepared workaround, hopefully this firmware will help:
http://spirit-system.com/dl/fw/spirit-fw-2.6.2.4df
It is identical with 2.6.1 except small change in the firmware for these FrSky receivers.

Thanks very much for the firmware. I will install it when I get home from work.ZeXx86 wrote:FrSky replied today that they are very busy but will give us a proper reply soon.

Hello Tomáš,
first let me thank you for trying to help us with a new firmware, but unfortunately i cannot report a success.
Spirit led goes out immediately after "jumping swashplate" and starting lua does not work.
Starting lua before powering up spirit makes lua work and led flashing (same behavior as with 2.6.1).
Sorry that I can't give a better reply,
Toni
