How to make GeoLink holding position and altitude?

In case you do not know something or you are not sure, here is the right place for your question.

OK thanks, I will try that.

Please just help with this, I'm desperately trying to find out what is wrong...
Denndb wrote:Regarding GeoLink, I have only checked "position hold" and "altitude hold" in GeoLink setting Aid tab. Are maybe these two in collision? Or there's some wrong parameter I'm using there? By switching STABI on, I expected that heli will stay in the air, keeping current position and altitude. However it's strange what happened - so when I turned on the switch to activate Stabi (which activates GeoLink position and attitude hold automatically) - heli immediatelly lowered the collective and went straight down towards the ground.
Is there any idea what did I do wrong in settings?

I misunderstood your post and thought you were trying to use RTH at the same time

Using position and altitude hold together is not a problem but you might have to adjust horizontal and vertical gains.

Try it at a safe height to see how far it drops, if the heli only drops a few feet and then climbs again lower vertical gain
