Gear ratio only goes to 0.05 precision

Why does the gear ratio text box only allow precision to 0.05? I realize this ends up being, for many helicopters, an error of less than 1%. (Eg, ratio of 7.00 vs 7.03). Are the errors of rpm sensors much greater than 1%, and that’s the reason?

Yes, precision is generally lower and even 2% error would be rather undetectable.
