Hello,

the blue light on geolink is on but the software says "not connected".
I have made the compass calibration for several minutes but...no way.

The only workin tabs on the GeoLink page are info and update.

I tried to update the firmware but unsuccessfully.

How can I solve?

Thank you for helping

The only way to solve this problem is to finish the calibration.

It will not finish if done improperly. It is very important to rotate with the module in all possible directions.
If needed I can send you a video that is available on YouTube.

Thank you for your prompt replay,

I have seen the video on youtube, thanks.

How can I realize that the compass setting is finally completed by the blu led on Geolink?

Or simply I have to turn and turn and turn?

I appreciate!

Sorry to bother you but I have tried to calibrate the compass but the geolink is still not connected.

I have turned the model for 10 minutes in all the way, but no solution.

How can realize if the compass setting has been done?

Thank you

It is clearly displayed by the Status LED. You will see a periodic flashing even if there is no movement.

This might help you:

It does not matter how long the module is being calibrated but if it is done correctly. It might take infinite time if you are missing some angle unfortunately.
If done properly it will not take more than one minute. Try to focus at the video so you will see what is needed.

Ok. I will try it again but I wish to be sure to do it correctly, because I have turned and turned but without any result:
1)I switch the Tx on
2)I power the model: the spirit light is steady on, geolink blinks 1 time only than SWITCH OFF. NO BLINKING LIGHT ON GEOLINK, as in the video!
3) I start to move the model.

Is this procedure correct? As I suppose I loose some important step.

Thanks again

Furthermore, you have sent me the link of the manual, on how to calibrate, but the manual says:

2.3 Calibration process
In order to perform the calibration it is necessary to enter Spirit Settings/GeoLink/Module and click the Calibration request button.

The problem is that I cannot enter Spirit Settings/GeoLink/Module as it says “not connected”!

GeoLink should blink when you are moving with it. As shown at the video.

Calibration mode must be first requested by clicking in the Spirit Settings. I thought you have did it.

If there is only one blink, then GeoLink is operating normally. And likely the problem is in connection. Please check if the cable is connected at the right port.

I was getting crazy, thank you for your patience.
I hope this post can help other customers.

Hello,

I "reopen" this post, because I have the same problem. "Geolink is not connected". Geolink connected to Sat2 Port. Blue light ON, Spirit 2 Fw:3.2.0 .

From flymax767 post:

"2.3 Calibration process
In order to perform the calibration it is necessary to enter Spirit Settings/GeoLink/Module and click the Calibration request button.

The problem is that I cannot enter Spirit Settings/GeoLink/Module as it says “not connected”! "

Best regards.

Jorge
