So I tried clearing the log and the map still crashes. I tried an experiment. I powered up, went to the map, and as soon as the map crashed, I powered down. Here is the log. You can see that there is that message about a broken connection. I think that maybe the map disappears when the connection breaks. It might be the other way around. So what is causing those connection breaks. The model is just sitting on my desk connected to my desktop.

Here is another log. Around 7:00 I went into the Map. As soon as it crashed I opened the log. There is another Geolink broken connection message. It only seems to appear when I open the Map.

I have the same problem. I just got my Sprit and Geolink a few days ago. I set up a bench test, using a spek satelite in sat 1 and geolink in sat2 and all went well until I tried the map tab on my geolink. Page showed 5 satelites, even though I was inside where I normally get none on other gps units. The geolink system crashed, menu items went gray and geolink shows disconnected. After a fresh boot up, geolink gives a series of random blinks, then settles down to a series of one blink. Will not connect How do I revive my geolink, and how do I prevent this from happening again?

Hello,
it look like your GeoLink is in calibration mode. Maybe calibration request was engaged in the Spirit Settings. You have to finish the calibration all in all.
Did you ever perform calibration previously?

Do you have small Spirit unit? If so, could you attach Spirit flight log from any time when connected with your computer, please?

Still no success in reflashing dead geolink Connect spirit in software shows connected, ver 2.8.0
On geneal tab, check geolink, click on tab, shows not connected. Click on update, select geolink-fw 1.0.34dg. Click flash, recover. Reconnect geolink, shows steady blue light, green bar shows uploading. After bar goes to 100%, geolink light flashed, goes back to single flashes, page says update failed. I have repeated this many times. Now what?

Hello,
are you able to record short video from moment the helicopter is powered up?
I would like to know what GeoLink Status LED is doing exactly. Because this will tell us in which mode it is.
If it is in Calibration mode then the only thing you have to finish is the Calibration. If not finished properly, it will not be visible in the software.
Only when finished then it will work.
At the moment it look like it is the case. So there might be no problem in theory.
Reflashing or any other operation will not help. Only calibration must be finished to make it work (if this is the case).

Here is a video of spirit startup. This is a new unit, never mounted in a model.

I do not know how to get it out of calibration mode. Geolink page is all grayed out except upgrade.

if you pressed "calibration" button
is boring but have to be done entirely
