Hello all,

i am just implementing my first Spirit 2 with Spektrum/Hobbywing telemetry... and i am really happy with the great general level of integration w/ Spek+Hw. setup was really easy so far. the only thing i did not notice (even it is clearly written in the manual) is that there is no Esc PWM% in the telemetry implementation (i do have it on all of my other helis with Hw/jlog/Spektrum). may i've done something not correctly or missed the trick... is there a way to get it?
cheers

Hello HeliMLM,
I think your question is the same question I also have. Am I right?
http://spirit-system.com/phpBB3/viewtop ... =20&t=3826

I am also missing this information regarding the values set and opening of the ESC.

Hello,

this is displayed as Throttle % value in the ESC telemetry page.

Hi Tomas...

thx for the answer and your support. but in fact, the Throttle % is just giving the throttle curve given by the Tx... and the PWM% is missing (normally this is Output%). see example log of benchrun attached. it is with empty 3S instead of 6s... so the RPMs are low. no Amps is normal without blades and no load.

I am little bit confused what do you expect from Throttle and what from Output?

Spirit unit will display in Throttle what is going to the ESC.
PWM value can be seen directly in your radio.

Hello,

pls find attached a log of "how it was before" (same setup - just Hw80=>jlog(s32)=>Tm1000/AR7700 [now it is Hw80=>Spirit 2=>4649T])... so this is what i was expecting. Throttle% (yellow) showing the throtte curve from Tx as now, but Output% (light blue) showing the motor PWM% output of the Esc. which is my most important drive train tuning indicator.
cheers

Telemetry output can't be changed.
This is how it is described in the Spektrum Integration/Telemetry page which is different from JLog.

No problem. In next update we can do some changes, but any user modifications are not possible normally.

Hello Tomas,

successfully done some test flights with this little 'bitchy' bird (Logo 400SE, it has alway been bitchy;)) on Spirit 2... and i have to say: whatever others have noticed as a 'huge' difference, i can not. with the settings you recommended for vbar users, the little bird felt very familiar from the first flight. not exactly like neo before, but i just needed some minutes to adapt to the feeling and i am very happy with the result already after 3 flights with a little bit of tuning. extremely helpful the possibility to use sliders etc on my iX12 directly attached to parameters to tune Spirit setting parameters.

for other (bigger) birds or new ones i still would love to have 1. Esc PWM% mapped to output channel - it is my main drive train tuning parameter and 2. SRXL2 receivers either with SRXL2 sats or 'old' dsmx sats directly attached to Spirit... as Rx voltage is missing with spm4649t and i am still seeing some frame losses... so i am happy to have the additional directly attached sat. anyhow would prefer spm4651t plus sat (but directly on Spirit unit)... maybe 3.1? 8-)

i really love the great level of integration w/ Spektrum... as said before. the programming via Tx & texgen is a pearl... even it is working perfectly i am not using the android app on iX12 anymore. no real need for it for tuning only.
cheers
Michael
