GeoLink with FW 1.1.0

Geolink installation position under firmware 1.1.0 with Spirit firmware 3.0.0

The description says the following:
GeoLink can be mounted at a tilted surfaces from now.
I therefore interpret that the installation position no longer has to be flush to the FBL.
Is the alignment completely irrelevant or do I understand something wrong? Unfortunately, the new firmware has been withdrawn due to various inconsistencies.
What do Geolink users say?
