Could someone walk me through the correct way to bind a Jeti RX using Spirit to provide the power to the RX?
I’m using a red spirit (1) and a Jeti R3.
1. Plug in bind plug to EX port on R3
2. ?? ...which pins should be connected between spirit and RX to provide power for the bind process?
3. Turn on transmitter and bind
I just want to make sure I get this right the first time - Not sure if there’s a chance of frying anything with with a wrong connection. [emoji28]
New Jeti user - correct bind process with Spirit?
Hello,
you can connect Spirit unit and receiver according this guide:
http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... ntegration
For R3 receiver, EX Bus port can be mapped at the Port 4. Please set EX Bus protocol after binding through Device Explorer. Then it can communicate with Spirit unit including integration and telemetry.
Please note, that for binding EXT port should be used.
Plug there bind plug and power up the unit. You can connect Throttle/BEC at the receiver or at the receiver.

Hi Tomáš,
Thanks for the reply!
Just to clarify: If I want to power the R3 with Esc/Bec, I can hook the esc/bec lead into port 4 on the R3 and the the bind plug into EXT and I’m good?
Also,
Any updates on the FCC cert process for the RS units?
Thanks again

To bind you can plug in an external power source no more than 8.4v, lower is fine for bind. Bind plug goes in ext port in the R3 and power to one of the other ports. Plug in bind, plug in power then power on TX.rediary wrote:Hi Tomáš,

The esc/bec lead should go into aux channel in the spirit when continuing setup of aircraft.
